A Compliance inspection was completed for the existing on-site sewage treatment
system located on this property. The system consists of 2-100Q galfon septic tanks, 1-
7000 gallon pumping chamber&4 trenches totaling 2701in.ft., 810sq.ft. built in �993.
Soil boring #1 found mottled soi! (redox features) at 4.8', elevation 98.7 &the bottom of
the trenches at�fev.102.2 & 102.5 leaving a 3.5' & 3_$' separation from the bottom of
the trenches 8� redox features. Soil boring #2 found mottled soil at 4.7', elev.99.4 $�the
bottom of the trenches at elev.102.4 $� 102.5 leaving a 3' & 3.1' separation. The syst�m
is classified as in Compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules.
The tanks were pumped 8� inspected by Boss Pumping & Kothrade Sewer, Water&
Excavating &were found to be compliant.
Nothing other than gray water (l�undry, showers, etc.) human waste �toilet tissue
shoufd be disposed of into the septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recammended,
due to adding more solids &fine solids passing through to the system. Recommend to
divert iron filters out of the system, recommend to divert the water softner also if
diverting the iron filter. Excessive amounts of soaps, antibacterial soaps, cleaning
agents, shower cleaners used every shower& chlorine agents may kill th� bacteria
needed to treat septic effluent. Additives �re not recommended. Recommend to pump
&clean your tanks through the manhole by a certified pumper every 2 years. Check
with your pumper to set up a schedule.
This Certificate of Compliance is no guarantee that this system will continue to function
indefinitely.

An inspection of your septic system was conducted on August 8, 2000. A summary of the
inspection is below.
Septic Tank Condition
1. Pumpout not needed at this time.
The septic system is a compliant system, meanin� it meets all or most current City and State
Standards. Enclosed is a list of licensed contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. This
list is enclosed simply for your reference in case your septic system needs maintenance in the future.
Also enclosed is a fact sheet explaining your septic system and how it functions. Finally, an as-built
drawing is enclosed showing the approximate location of the septic system.
