Now I remember a little more based on your email. The flue and all that stuff was put in back in 2008 when the structure was built. Now I remember that when someone inspected the fireplace 2 years ago, I was able to go back to my contractor and get pictures that he had taken back in 2008. I will see if I can still find those. I will also check with Fireside Hearth and Home to see if they know anything. But, if I recall correctly,they were not there when I took the inspector out. Unfortunately, any record of the inspection would be in a file out on the island! I will let you know if I find out anything further. I think I provided him blue prints of the original construction and I remember helping him navigate around the side of the cabin so he ` could verify that the chimney extended far enough above the roof line. , Is it possible that it was inspected and the record was misplaced?
