A RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF
WINTON BURMASTER
WHEREAS , Winton Burmaster began his employment as a
Patrol Officer with the City of Orono in 1962; and �
WH��3AS, Winton Burmaster was promoted to the position
of Sergeant with the Orono Police Department on 1979; and
� WH�R��S , Winton Burmaster achieved the position of
Assistant Chief of the Police Department on 198f� and remained in
. that position until his retirement � in 1986; and
WHEREAS, the City in recognition of his hard work and
many efforts for the City , its citizens and tho`se of the
communities of Long Lake, Spring Park and Minnetonka Beach did
establish June 14 , 1986 as Winton Burmaster Day in the City of
� Orono to coincide with his retirement party; and
WH�R��IS, Winton Burmaster proved himself a willing and
dedicated Police Officer not only in the enforcement of laws but
in assisting the citizens of the community to overcome their
troubles; and
WHB3RI�A�, Winton Burmaster passed away on April 26 , 1987 .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVI?D, that the City of Orono,
in appreciation of the many efforts and the fine individual that
Winton Burmaster was, extends its sympathy to his wife Rosie
Burmaster and his family upon the death of Winton Burmaster.
