A R�SOLUTION DESIGNATING DIRECTOR AND
' ALTERNATE DIRECTOR TO
MINNESOTA POLICE RSCRIIITMENT SYSTE�IS
WHEREAS,- the City of Orono recruits its police officers
through a joint powers agreement called the Minnesota Police
,Recruitment System, and
WHER�3�fS, by using the procedure outlined by Minnesota
Police Recruitment System the City of Orono will be following all
pertinent Human Rights Commission and EEOC guidelines for hiring
of minorities and women, and
WHEREAS�, the City of Orono has elected to use the
services of Minnesota Police Recruitment Systems as a defense
• against claims of improper hiring practices for police officers,
and
WHER��S, a Director and an Alternate Director shall be
appointed to represent the City of Orono on the Minnesota Police �
. Recruitment System Board of Directors .
NOW, THER�FORE B� �IT RESOLVED that Melvin Kilbo, Police
Chief is herebl designated to serve as Director of the Minnesota
Police Recruitment System, and Mark Bernhardson , City �
Administrator is hereby designated to serve as Alternate Director
, of the Minnesota Police Recruitment System.
