The permit you reference was voided and can't be reused. If Jim Smith is pulling the permit you should forward this email
to him.
The zoning permit application is attached. Please complete and submit along with a revised escrow agreement
(attached). The property owner should sign the escrow agreement and submit. No new escrow money is required. The
permit will be $50 paid at the time of issuance.
Please submit 2 scaled copies of the approved plan and the survey reflecting the plan for the permit review. The survey
should show erosion control measures and address any unaddressed comments our City Engineer had on the previously
submitted plan.

Attached is my site plan for the hillside with the rain garden removed and replaced by additional plantings. We would like
the application to be just for the replacement of the steps to the lake.
This pdf is at 1"=10' scale if printed on 11/17 paper with no printer reductions. It shows the area by the lake where the
work will be done. The red topo lines were copied from the Gronberg survey, so they match.
Will this do for the meeting, or do I need to get you a hard copy.

Below are our engineer's comments on the plan for 1430 Cherry Place. Please address each comment and note that the
survey is the plan which the permit will be based on. All relevant information should be reflected therein. Additional,
supporting plans or information may be necessary.
Is the intent to grade a pathway to the lake which will be planted with turf or sod in addition to the staircase? Or to
simply maintain the grade and turf is there currently? Please advise. Regarding the comment below (#4) if earth
movement in additional to that which is necessary to construct the staircase and plant the vegetation in intended please
calculate the total cubic yards. Finally, please provide a planting plan with sizes of plants, species and locations.
The information and clarification requested herein must be received by noon on Wednesday, October 3�d for consideration
on the City Council's October 8th agenda. The next Council meeting is October 22"d with a plan submittal date of October

I have reviewed the proposed steps to the lake and have the following comments:
1. Is the existing retaining wall being removed or replaced?
2. The planting drawing shows a grass walking path down to the lake but the survey does not reflect a path. With
the existing slopes of the embankment, are they planning on doing any regarding? How are they planning on
maintaining this area?

� 3. There appears to be a retaining wall by the upper portions of the steps, but the survey does not reflect a
, � retaining wall. The survey needs to show this along with the top and bottom elevations. If the wall exceeds 4' in
height or if a tiered wall is not separated by 2x the higher wall,then they will need to be engineered by a
registered professional engineer.
4. The grading plan shows significant grading/planting in this area which could disturb a significant amount of
dirt. The applicant should provide dirt work calculations showing how much area is being disturbed and how
much dirt work is being used. A CUP may be triggered.
5. The plan needs to show erosion control measures.
