1. You may apply for mechanical permits by mail or in person at the City offices. Applications will bc
rcviewed and a pennit will be issued within 2 working days.
2. Pcrmit cards will be sent by return mail after a rcview is completed. PI:RMITS ARE NOT VALID
UNTIL YOU RECEIVG A PERMIT. W012K MUST NOT BEGW UNTIL TI-IE PERMI'T CARD 1S
POSTED ON TI�� JOB SITE.
3. Mcchanical Desit�ns - Complete calculations, details �u�d specifications are required for each heating,
ventilatio�i, liumidification-deliumidification, and air conditioning installation ineluding tieat loss/lieat gain
calculation, design temperatures, equipment ratings and identification as to type, manufacturer aud model.
Data shall be presented on fonn provided. Identitication of a��d specifications for water heating equipmcnt
shall also bc providc�l.
4. When �u�y new construction or remo�eling is involved, a scparate building permit must bc obtained.
5. All work must be done in accordance with the Uniform Mechanical Code/State Building Code
rcquircments.
6. All work must be inspected (rough-in and final). Call 473-7357. 24-hour notice required.
7. Ilouse Fleating Test Record must be submitted before final.

cusromcr for[hc work done. If any material, equipment, labor, or installation are furnished by the owner,
tenant or any other party thc reasonable market value of such items must bc added to the estimated cost
or contract price for permit fee purposes. In the event that there is a dispute on the amount of the job cost,
the City may request the sub►nission of a sigiied copy of the actual contract.

greater. For valuations over $1,000,000 call the Department of Inspectional Scrvices for the price.
