Dear Mr. Pichelman,
While investigating a complaint regarding an illegal tent structure on your neighbor's property, city staff
noted that there is also an illegal shed on your property. In reviewing a survey from 1996 there was no
shed show. So it must have been placed there since then.
This letter is to notify you that the city does not allow buildings within 75 feet of the lake.Therefore it
must be removed. A deadline of November 17, 2014 has been established to bring the property into
compliance. Please feel free to contact me at my office if you have any questions.

Dear Mr. Oman,
Per your letter of October 27, I understand your first impression regarding what you refer to as a shed
which is actually my home made fish house. Many of the neighbors and myself enjoy the use of it on
Carmen's bay once the ice is thick enough to pull it out. It's become a tradition to meet the neighbors
during many of those long winter days. I've been doing this for over 10 years without a complaint from
any of my neighbors.
If you do have a complaint I would rather keep peace in the neighborhood than share a few good times
on the ice in the winter. I'm sure that we can find an alternative solution.
Please advise me as to whether I can continue to use it or whether I need to remove it.
