� � � A RESOLUTIOl�l ORDERI]NG ABATEMENT OF
HAZARDODS BUILDING ACTION AT BIG ISLAND
VETERAN'S C�iMP - C,ABIN �31 PF�IAIUT ROW AREA
, WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, Board of Governers-Big Island Veterans Camp,c/o
Order of the Purple Heart, 208 Veterans Service Building, St. Paul, MN
55155, has an interest; and
. WHERF.AS, State of Minnesota, Centenial Building, St. Paul,
Minnesota 55102, is the fee owner of record of property located at Big
Island Veteran's Camp, Orono, Minnesota, herein referred to as Big
Island_ Veteran's Camp, and legally described as follows :

� 12. That the City at th�r��uest of a representative of
� - � � the Big Island Board of Governors did delay
consideration of Hazardous Building proceedings �
from August 12, 1985 to March 10 , 1986, As they
indicated a joint effort of the Board and the State
of Minnesota was working to bring them in�to
compliance.
Y�dOW, THERSFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to the
foregoing findings and in accordance with Minnesota
' Statutes Sections 463.15 to 463.261 hereby orders the
owner(s) of the Big Island•Veteran' s Camp property to raze
and remove or repair the structure on the property.
2. The City Council of the City of Orono further orders that
unless this corrective action is taken or an answer is
. • served upon the City of Orono and filed in the Office of the
Clerk of District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota, .
within twenty (20 ) days from the date of the service of
� this order, a motion for summary enforcement of this order
• will be made at District Court of Hennepin County.
3 . That the City Council of the City of Orono further orders
that if the City is compelled to take corrective action � .
herein all necessary costs expended by the City will be
assessed against the real estate concerned and collected ,
. in accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section 463.22. !
j , 4. That the City Council of the City of Orono hereby
authorizes and directs the Mayor, City Clerk, City
� Attorney, and other officers and employees of the City to
take such action, prepare, sign and serve such papers as
� are necessary to comply with this Order and to assess the
cost thereof against the real estate described above for
collection along with taxes.
