Dear Mr. Wolfe:
The intention of this letter is to follow up on your concern regarding the pavement
installed at Casco Beach during the Casco Point Reconstruction Project. The City has
reviewed the site. The pavement was extended over existing gravel in order to eliminate
erosion, minimize maintenance and improve aesthetics. Given that the area was gravel,
which is an impervious surface, there is no increase in hardcover by paving over it. The
City has concluded that the area will remain in its current state.
