This design is based on wall layout plan prepared by Gronberg&Associates dated October 4,2011. I understand that the proposed boulder retaining walls will have a maximum exposed height of 10 feet. They are located at the northeast house corner near the driveway, and on the north side of the house. The walls will be tied into existing retaining walls. A minimum wall batter/setback of 18° (�3 inches/vertical foot) should be used. Slopes as noted below will be present at the top and bottom of the wall. No groundwater or other surcharge loads have been designed for the wall. If site conditions vary from what is shown on the Typical Section, please call me to discuss other options.
