This letter will serve as your notice that the property must be brought into compliance by June 1, 2010 in order to avoid legal action by the City. In order to bring the property into compliance the fill must be removed and the property returned to its original condition by June 1, 2010. Please be advised, if you fail to correct the violations this matter will be sent to the City Attorney for review and may result in criminal prosecution. OMAN 5-26-1��10 CIT y OF pRONO I RECEIVED YOUR LETTER OF 5-14 -10, CONCERNING FILL BEING PLACED IN THE CITY RIGHT OF WAY. I MERELY FILLED IN THE LOW SPOTS TO LEVEL THE GROUND. THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT DONE WITH ANY MALICE, BUT ONLY TO IMPROVE THE ASTHETICS OF THE AREA ADJOINING MY PROPERTY, WHICH I�VE BEEN TOLD BY THE CITY IS MY RESPOSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN. IN ADDITION TO THE FILL I BLEW OUT ALL THE LEAVES, CUT DOWN TWO DEAD TREES, DRAGGED THE AREA FOR TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW TO SMOOTH EVERYTHING OUT. I PICKED UP ALL THE STICKS AND ROCKS AND SPENT 100.00 ON GRASS SEED THAT I SPREAD OUT OVER THE AREA. I NEED TO SPREAD MORE SEED AS IT NEEDS TO BE THICKENED. I ALSO PURCHASED WEED KILLER THAT I APPLIED TO THE ITCH WEED THAT RUNS WILD OVER THE ENTIRE AREA. I CONTINUE WITH THE WEED KILLER AS THE ITCH WEED IS NOT GOING WITHOUT A FIGHT. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN OUT TO VIEW WHAT I�VE DONE I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO. THE GRASS IS STARTING TO COME AND THE AREA IS QUITE ATTRACTIVE. I APOLIGIZE IF MY EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE LOOK ALONG MAPLE AVE HAVE UPSET ANYONE AS THIS WAS NOT MY INTENTION. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE RULES. IF WHAT I�VE DONE HAD CAUSED SOME HARM OR CHANGE DRAINAGE IN SOME WAY I COULD SEE REMOVING THE FILL AND CREATING THE HOLES ONCE AGAIN. BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE. THE NEW ROAD CONSTRUCTION HAS CURBED THE ROAD ALONG THE ADJOINING AREA SO NO STORM RUNOFF WOULD EVER GET THERE. WHAT DAMAGE WILL BE DONE BY LEAVING THE AREA THE WAY IT IS NOW? However be advised that no parking or storage will be allowed on the platted street. Also in the future please contact the city before working on city property.
