Dear Mr_ S� Mrs. Swanson,
During routine inspections by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District(MCWD) staff on Monday
November 13, 2006, it was observed that work was performed on your property. It appears that
that work being p�rformed on your property may require an MCWD permit.
Please submit a plan showing the scope of work plannEd for your property. Provide the quantity of
soil that you needed to excavate or may bring in for fill, and the dimensions of the disturbed areas
resulting from the addition.
Once you submit your information we can make the cletermination if the quantity of materiai on your
site is passing our thresholds for a Rule B� Erosion Control Permit. At that time yau may be
required to submit additional information for a permit to be issued. Until a determination can be
made the soil is stabilized there needs to be a sedim�nl:or erosion control measure such as silt
fence in place to ensure that the fill material remains on you�(ot in the event of a large rainfall.
Please submit the requested information by NovembP� 14, 2006, A failure to respond may result in
formal enforcement action to which a permittee may be subject for permit violations includes
issuance of a stop work order, criminal misdemeanor prosecution, and fees for additional
inspections and legal costs, Working without a permit where one is required is in violafion of
MCWD Rules and is a misdemeanor subject to penalty by law. Work must stop until a permit is
