RE: Grading and Other Issues
Dear Mr. Swanson:
On November 17, 2003 a building permit was issued to you, to add on and remodel your home at 3040
Casco Point Road. The following is a list of issues with the property:
l. Grading and Ground Cover
In passing the property, I noted you have added dirt piles in the front yard. To add fill requires a
permit and a plan review. Submit a permit application and plan. If approved, a permit will be
issued.
2. Lack of Ground Cover
Orono Municipal Code requires that ground cover is established within one year of the issuance
of the permit. The yard must be seeded or sodded.
3. Extra Driveway
As we discussed in the past, the municipal code allows only one driveway. The extra driveway
must be removed.
4. FinalInspections
The last inspection recorded was a wall board inspection on September 13, 2005. Final
inspections are required on plumbing, mechanical, electrical and house.

5. Illegal Signage
The City Municipal code does not allow signage, accept for "Home for Sale" signs on residential
property. The "Handyman" sign must be removed.
6. The City does not allow the sale of vehicles from residential property. The "For Sale" sign must
be removed from the vehicle.
A deadline of June 25, 2007 has been established for compliance with codes on your property. If this
deadline is not met, the City will initiate legal action. If you have any questions, or if you have a
