A RSSOLUTION ESTABLISHING SEWER ASSESSMENT POLICY
NAVARRL AREA LIFT STATIONS NUMBERS 6, 7, 8, 13 AND 22
WHEREAS , Resolution # 162P1 dated April 9 , 1984 ,
established a policy for the area for the connection charges; and .
WHBR$AS, all properties in the Navarre area are required
to pay an initial $225.00 per unit hookup to cover the original
cost of sewer; and
WHBREAS , all new properties with stubs have been
assessed $15�d.P10 per unit for the bypass; and
WHEREAS , potential residential units that were not
assessed $150.0P1 per unit should pay such a charge; and •
WHERSAS, potential capacity for the system done by �the
• bypass for lift station number 6 and the force main at lift
station number 7 have created a new capacity in the area of
approximately 200 units; and
WHBRSAS , there is a potential 116 residential units
without current stubs that may come on the line in the future;
and
WHERSAS, this potential may not be used up for a number
of years and therefore the realistic potential is approximately
6P1 new residential units; and
WHER$AS , based on the realistic 60 new units of �
residential property the cost per unit is approximately $985.PlPI
for future connections; and
WHEREAS, existing commercial units do consume part of ,
that capacity when they increas� usage and should pay their fair
share of the hookup charges; and .
WHERgAS, the City has a time cost of ho'lding money. .

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Counci 1 of
the City of Orono that the following shall be the modified policy
for connection charges per SAC unit as outlined below:
