HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1843 �`~ ^ � � d C�ty o� ORONO � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL .. � NO. 1843 • ' • � R$SOLOTION DECLARING A POBLIC ROAD TO EXIST OVER A PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QOARTER OF THE SOOTHSAST QOARTER OF SECTIOd 31, TOWNSHIP 118, RANGE 23 � �•BE IT R$SOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Orono, as follows: , WHEREAS, the City of Orono has continuously used and maintained Chippewa Lane as a public road for at least six years; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 160.015 such use constitutes dedication of the porpoerty to the public as a public road; and � WHEREAS, a portion of Chippewa Lane so used is legally described as follows (hereafter "Subject Property") : • Beginninq at the northwest corner of the south half of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 31 , Township 118, Range 23, thence east 431.7 feet, thence south 1 rod, thence west 431.7 feet, thence north on the quarter line to the point of beginning. WH$RSAS, as shown on attached Exhibit A, the pavement for Chippewa Lane covers a portion of the subject property approximately 12 to 14 feet wide and 431.7 feet long. The remainder of the subject property has actually been used in connection with the paved portion of Chippewa Lane for shoulders, lateral support, and snow storage. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOGVED, the C i ty Counc i 1 hereby declares that the subject property is a public road established pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 16P1.05 and shall remain so until lawfully vacated. . • Page l of 2 �,r_, -. . ♦ . � C�t� o� ORONO � ..
