HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1766 . � - Clty of ORONO • � `� � � � �� `r' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL �j..;: - NO. 17 6 5 �,-= . • - • •, GENERAL COMMENDATION FRAi�IK PETERSON WHEREAS , on Sunday, April 28 , 1985, a burglary was committed at the offices of Dr. Ohmann, 2160 West Wayzata �� Boulevard, in Orono; anc3 WHEREAS, the efforts of Frank Peterson resulted in the arrest and c'narge of an individual for second degree burglary in connection with the breakin; and � � WHEREAS, Frank Peterson provided the police with a good � description of the individual susnect together with the license plate of the vehicle used; and • WHEREAS, an alert and cooperative citizenry is essential to maintaining law and order; and WHEREAS , the City of Orono wishes to commend and encourage the involvment of its residents in the overall protection of the community and, � . � NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Counci 1 of the City of Orono hereby highly commends Frank Peterson on the above listed actions and express their gratitude, that Frank , Peterson is willing to step foreward and be counted protecting ,. � Orono and maintaining it as a safe place to 1 i ve. PETERSON WHEREAS , on Sunday, April 28, 1985, a burglary was commi�ted at the offices of Dr. Ohmann, 2160 West Wayzata Boulevard; in Orono; and � WHEREAS, the efforts of Barbara A. Peterson resulted in � the arrest and charge of an individual for second degree burglary in connection with the breakin; and ; WHEREAS , Barbara Peterson provided police with a � description of the suspect together with license number and subsequently participated in identifying the suspect in a lineup; and � WHEREAS, an alert and cooperative citizenry is essential to maintaining law and order; and � WHEREAS , the City of Orono wishes to commend and encourage the involvment of its residents in the overall protection of the community and, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Counci 1 of the City of Orono hereby highly commends Barbara Peterson on the . above listed actions and express their gratitude� that Barbara - Peterson is willing to step foreward and be counted protecting Orono and maintaining it as a safe place to live.
