A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE FROM CURRENT
' MUNICIPAL STATE AID ST�IAIDARDS
WHERgAS, Municipal State Aid Street 101 (Willow Drive) was
constructed with an alignment which provides for a 30 MPH design speed
near the intersection of Fox Street with Municipal State Aid approval .
WHEREAS, reconstruction of the present roadway to correct
the alignment would not be in the best interests of the City because
extensive work would be required with no significant benefit.
WHEREAS, the alignment problem is near the intersection of
Fox Street where there is a four way stop sign which results in the
traffic slowing down through the curve.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
� City of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota that the City Cousulting .
Engineer is authorized to request a variance to Municipal State Aid
Standard 14MCAR Section 1.50132 , 8SR 2146 , 882� . 991P1 (Rural Undivided
Geometric Standards) for MSAP 152-101-418 . '
The question was on the adoption of the resolution and upon a
vote being duly taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Butler, Councilmembers Adams, Frahm, Grabek and Hammerel.
The following voted against same: none
WHEREUPOid, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this
