To whom it may concern:
I have reviewed the photos of the reroofjob at 2659 Casco Point Road in Orono. International
Residential Code Section #R907.3 states that new roof covering shall not be installed without first
removing the existing roof covering. In this case the new roof covering ties into the valley area. Installing
the new roofing over the existing where it ties together would be a violation of the code.Therefore the
city required all the roofing in the valley to be replaced. If you have any questions regarding this issue
