RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY IN
THE HUD RENTAL REAABILITATION DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM .
WHEREAS , Hennepin County, as an .entitlement Urban County
for the Community Development Block Grant Program, is eligible to
apply .for participation in the HUD Rental Rehabilitation
. Demonstration Program, and � �
WHEREAS , participation in the� demonstration would provide
experience in preparation for implementation of the Rental
�" Rehabilitation Program authorized and funded by the Urban-Rural
Recovery Act of i983, and
WHEREAS , the UHC CDBG program is a cooperative
intergovernmental undertaking between Hennepin County and
�- participant communities, and
WHEREAS , the rehabilitation of substandard rental. housing
units is identified as a need within the City of Orono .
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Orono s,upports
Hennepin� County in its consideration of an application for the HUD
Rental Rehabilitation Demonstration Program.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota
at a regular meeting held February 13 , 1984 .
