Approved and Stamped plan.
In our discussions he mentioned moving more of the reta'sning wall closer to the property line, but all the revise plans
showed was roof guttering and catch basins so I approved the roof guttering a catch basin plan.

Adam
We have received a revised plan for the walls associated with this garage permit. I have placed them in your inbox for
review along with an email from the neighbor to the south.
Please review and approve, if appropriate.

Chris,
I've completed a grading review of the proposed plans for the permit/ property listed in the subject line and provide the
following comments:
1. The southern retaining wall has a lower top of wall elevation than bottom of wall elevation (TW=940.0; BW=941.5).
2. The middle of the southern retaining wall is listed an 4 Ft(TW=945.0; BW=941.0). The northern retaining wall is
shown to be 4 ft. (TW=947; BW=943 &TW=946; BW=942;TW=946.5; BW=942.5) Walls 4' or greater in height must be
designed by a licensed professional, and plans must be submitted to the City for review.
3. The site plan/survey does not depict the drainage pattern as required by the City Survey submittal standards.
4. Based on the proposed contour lines, the plan would direct surface drainage from the west of the house into the
southern neighbors property Via a swale. A site plan should be developed to ensure runoff is not directed into the
neighboring properties.
5.A silt fence or other erosion control measure is not is not depicted on the plan. A silt fence or other appropriate
erosion control mechanism should be planned for and must be installed and inspected by the City prior to any land
disturbing activities. The Contractor must provide a minimum 24 hour notice prior to inspection.

Subject: Vogstrom revised permit
Melanie & Eric,
I spoke to both of you over the past few days and I want to e-mail both of you to be sure we are all on the same page.
Melanie is waiting for a final revised site plan to attach to the revised permit. The plan will show a three (3) foot set back
for the retaining wall for a portion of its length around the south east corner of the house. It will also show a catch basin
behind the wall at the south east corner of the garage, a swale along the length of the retaining wall between the wall and
the property line, and it will indicate there will be gutters and downspouts on the garage that drain toward the driveway
and street. In my conversation with Eric he confirmed he understands the back side of the retaining wall will be on the
north side of the 3 foot setback line. Dirt will be imported to back fill and restore the original grade and contour the swale
between the property line and the wall. If I have miss communicated this in any way please let me know.
Thanks
Jeff Essen
