Dear Mr. Marquardt:
The property at 2617 � :�sco Point Road in Orono is iocated in
Fiood Zone "C" according to the HUD Fiood Insurance Rate Map
270178 dated October 17, :',.�78. Flood Zone "C" inciudes areas of
minimal or no f iooding, ai;:::i generally inciudes areas of high, dry
ground.
The Normai Ordinary �-iigh Water Elevation of Lake Minnetonka
is 929.4 ' Mean Sea Level. The 100-year f lood elevation is de-
signated as 931.5' MSL. The water elevation according to the
Minnehaha Creek Watershed district on 10/7/85 is 929.56' MSL.
Observation wouid indicate the basement fioor elevation of the
house at 2617 Casco Point Road is about 8-10' above Iake level ,
or at approximately eievation 940' MSL, hence it wouid appear
that fiood insurance is not warranted for this property.
