About the only thing that would work would be a fake chimney. Halfway
from the bottom of the roof to the top is just about 30 feet above
grade, so anything that resembles a dormer (extends from the roof) will
move the bottom of the roof up and make the house too tall.

Thanks. I will contact Gronberg. The dormer is only fake. What i'm
trying to do is break up the boring roof line a little. Any ideas there
with what I can do? Maybe an eyebrow window instead, or would that be
still too high? Does a fake window count? What if I do what looks like
a vent? What if I do a fake chimney?

I took a brief look at your plans. A couple of minor glitches:
1. Gronberg did not change the grading plan to reflect the City
Engineer's comments. I faxed the comments to him and asked him to make
the changes and provide us two new surveys. You should probably contact
him to let him know you need the revisions done quickly. I'm not sure I
