Hi Nick
I spoke to our attorney last week and as I expected his position hasn't changed; because the entire house is ahead of the
average lakeshore setback line changing the proposed footprint in any way results in a new variance. Not what you
wanted to hear, I know.

Based on last week's update on the Variance bill from the MN House we anticipate the language will be adopted
(hopefully) by the Senate in a timely manner. It will then move forward to the Governor for his signature. Once that
happens we could process a new variance through the PC and Council. Following that we can get on with a building
permit.
Follow along on the updates and we should talk again in a while... Hopefully the law will be signed by the Governor soon.
