Item Description: Webber Hills Sanitary Sewer Etitension Assessment- Resolution
The property owners have signed assessment waivers requesting to be assessed for this project to
e�tend sewer to their properties which have inadequate septic sites. Project construction �vas
completed this summer. We are recommending approval of the resolution adopting the
assessment roll, in the amount of�20,000, for this project.

A RESOL�liTION ADOPTING THE
VVEBBER HILLS SANITARY SEWER EYTENSIO�i
ASSESSMENT ROLL
WHEREAS, the property owners have petitioned for an assessment sanitaiy sewer
project and have signed assessment waivers, waiving all applicable assessment procedural
requirements, and requesting to be assessed for project costs for the Webber Sanitaiy Sewer
Extension improvements.
NOW, T'HEI�EFOIZE, �E I�i' RESOI�VED, by the City Council of Orono,
Minnesota:
l. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is
hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein,
and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed
improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it.
2, Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 15
years, the first of the installinents to be payable on or before the first iVlonday in January
2006 �nci shail bear iiiterest at the rate cf 6.2�°'o per anntu.7 f:em the date of the adeption ef
this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2006. To each subsequent
installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the
�ssessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property, ��ith
interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be
char�ed if the entire assessment is paid withiil thirty (30) days from the adoption of this
resolution: and he may. at anvtime thereafter,pay to the C'ity Treasurer the entire amount of
the assessment remainina unpaid,with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in��hich
such payrnent is made. Such payment must be made before�io�-ember 1� or interest��ill be
char�ed through December �1 of the nert s�,icceedin� year. Partial prepayment may be
allowed in accordance with ordinane�es which �re e�istin� or���hich the C.ity mav choose to
actopt in tile i'�lture.

4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County
Auditor to be extended on the property ta� lists of the County. Such assessments shall be
collected and paid over in the same maiuier as other municipal taxes.
