ie: Septic SyGtem Repairs and Old Well On Site
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sjoberg:
Carl Widmer expressed to me his concern over the old 3"-4" well
located north of your home and somewhat adjacent to the area proposed
for your new septic system. I made an inspection of the site on
wednesday, August 24 , 1983 . In my opinion, this well does not pose
any major problems which will change the location of your proposed ;
system. However, it appears it will be necessary to have this well
properly abandoned by a State Licensed Well Driller. "Proper f
abandonment" includes pumping cement or bentonite grout down the
well casing, cuttinq off the casing below grade and filling in
the well pit, so that no surface water inflow into the well can
occur. Whichever wel]. driller you have do the abandonment should
call either me or Building Official Tom Jacobs for inspection while
the work is being done. Once the well is abandoned, work on the ;
new septic system can commence. ;
I find I do not have a copy of your soil testing .reoort and septic i
system design proposal in the City files - I would appreciate if
you could send or drop off a eopy. Please call me if you have any
questions or if I can be of further help in your completion of the
new system this fall .
i
Sincerely, i
 P  I

(The saturated soil level is [ ] or is not [ ] identified under this septic system. If the
saturated soil level is not identified, this classification is subject to revision.)
TANK CONDiTION (5-9) : 5
(`5 Pumpout not needed at this time.
b Solids accumulation in tanks indicates they should be pumped out this year.
7 System is discharging to the surface. Tanks must be pumped out within 48 hours.
