Dear Mr. Douthit:
An inspection of your septic system was conducted on September 18, 2000. A summary of the
inspection is below.
Setic Tank Condition
1. Pumpout not needed at this time.
The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance betveen the bottom
of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a Cit}
Code. A soil borin was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic
system must be replaced by December 31, 2010.
Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who vork in Orono on a regular basis. Also
enclosed is a fact sheet explaining how a septic system functions properly. Finally, an as-built drawing
is enclosed that shos the approlimate location of the septic system.
If you haee any questions regarding this report, please contact me at the City Offices at 249-4600.
Respectfully,
 ,
