Dear Mr. McCuskey:
An inspection of your septic system vas conducted on September 18, 2000. A summary of the
inspection is belov.
Septic Tank Condition
l. Pumpout needed within one year (last pumpout date 11/2/90).
The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance beteen the bottom
of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code; not a City
Code. A soil boring vas conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic
system must be replaced by December 31,2010.
Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who vork in Orono on a regular basis. Also
enclosed is a fact sheet eplaining how a septic system functions properl_y. Finally, an as-built drawing
is enclosed that shos the approimate location of the septic system.
If`ou hae any questions regarding this report, please contact me at the City Offices at 29-4600.
