Dear Ms. Enderlein:
This office was asked to inspect the plumbing system at 1335 Briar Street. The entire waste
and vent system was found to be substandard in that it does not conform to any code, past or
present. In addition, the bathroom drains in the basement probably present additional hazards.
The bathtub drain and the sink drain are not connected to any waste line at all. On these two
fixtures, when you pull the plug the water runs across the floor and into a floor drain. This
is a very serious deficiency and must be corrected immediately.
Please contact me if you have any questions, and to arrange for inspection of the corrected
plumbing.
