A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A NEW
' PRECINCT #1 POLLING LOCATION
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has constructed a new city
facili:ties campus on Kelley Parkway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has vacated the former .municipal
buildings in the Crystal Bay area, and
WHEREAS, the former city facilities, except for the Council
Chambers in the Crystal Bay area will be demolished which will
make the former Council Chambers polling location in Precinct #1
uninhabitable; and •
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is in need of a polling location in
Precinct #l, and
• WHEREAS, there is a limited number of adequate space available
within the boundaries of Precinct #1, and
WHEREAS, the Minnetonka Center For The Arts has agreed to the
use of their facility as a polling location by the City of Orono.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Precinct #1 polling
location be changed from the . Council Chambers in the Crystal Bay
area to Minnetonka Center For The Arts, 2240 North Shore Drive in
the City of Orono.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at
a regular meeting held April 12, 1993 .
