HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-10-10 Site Evaluation ReportA SITE EVALUATION REPORT FOR DENNIS KUMLIN ORONO, MINNESOTA 10-10-84 On September 29-October 6, 1984 both a primary site and an alternate site were tested on proposed lot 1 of Dennis Kumlin's subdivision according to the provisions of Individual Sewage Treatment Systems Standards(WPC-40). The only area available for testing because of the low area and ravine was in the center of the lot in the flat area. However, this area has been graded at one time and/or filled. Thus, we stayed to the north edge of the area where less soil would have been disturbed, and fortunately sandier soils existed. Some additional soil borings were taken along this area to find the limits of the sandier soils. The primary site had an average percolation rate of 50.5 minutes per inch which would allow a standard system. However, the trenches should be kept to the north edge of the flat area in the sandier and less disturbed soils. The alternate site had an average rate of 57.2 minutes per inch which would barely qualify for a standard system. This area was tested on the east side of the flat area where some natural soils existed. A system design will be needed once a house is proposed on the lot.
