HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-04-14 Septic System Design Report% k % SYSTEM DESIGN FOR JENSEN HOMES OF LOT 3, BLOCK 2. FRENCH CREEK ORONO, MINNESOTA I .rr>.I ! ^ n Q 4-14-87 I. Percolation Rate. Type of System. 9.6 minutes per inch for holes 1-4, Standard system. The previously tested area by others will be used as the alternate site. We tested one hole there in the middle of a tire rut and a rate of 40.0 was obtained. Thus, this is probably the worst case and the area could still be used for standard drain- field trenches. 2. Proposed Flow Rate. 4 bedrooms @ 150 G.P.D. s 600 G.P.O. 3. Soil Treatment Area Required. Use 1.67 rate x 600 G.P.D. =. 1000 Sq. Ft. minimum. 4. Size and Number of Trenches. 334 feet of trenches 3 feet wide = 1000 Sq. Ft. These trenches would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet apart center to center and be no deeper than 2 feet deep in the natural soil. They may need to be shallower at the ends of the trenches in order to be level. 5. Orainfield Rock Needed. 55.6 cubic yds. of rock is needed to have 12 inches under and 2 inches over a 4 inch distribution pipe. 6. Septic Tanks. Two septic tanks, each of 1000 gallons, are recommended. In addition, it appears that a third 750 gallon pumping tank and pump will be needed to reach the higher drainfield area. 7. Additional Information. 1 i All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of the City of Orono. Both the primary site and the alternate site must be kept free from grading and construction traffic. If there are any questions, please notify me. Sincerely, PERCOR, INC. Nark S.
