1985-03-28 Septic System Design Report
i-., ■ I— (-■ I •- r SITE EVALUATION REPORT FOR JENSEN HOMES LOT 2, BLOCK 1, FRENCH CREEK ORONO, MINNESOTA 3-28-85 > 1. Percolation Rate. Type of System. For the primary 8ite(holes 1-4) the average rate is 12.5 minutes per inch. For the alternate site(holes 5-6) the average rate is 6.9 min utes per inch. With the lack of a high water table, both sites would qualify for standard trenches. Testing was not done by us but by S-P Testing, Inc., and this design is based on their results and tests. 2. Proposed Flow Rate. 4 bedrooms € 150 GPO is 600 GPO. 3. Soil Treatment Area Required. Use 1.67 percolation factor x 600 GPD s 1000 Sq. Ft. of trench area I 4. Size and Number of Trenches. If the primary site is used, 4 trenches 3 feet wide and 83.3 feet long would yield 1000 Sq. Feet. If the alternate site is used first, 6 tren ches 3 feet wide and 55.6 feet long would yield 1000 Sq. Feet. These trenches would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet apart center to center. 5. Drainfleld Rock Needed. 55.6 cubic yards of rock is needed to have 12 inches under and 2 Inches over a 4 inch distribution pipe. 6. Septic Tanks. Two septic tanks each of 1000 gallons are recommended. Since the prim ary site is at a higher elevation, it might be necessary to use a third pumping tank and pump to serve even the first floor. Also, an ejector pump would be needed to serve the basement. If the alternate site is used first, perhaps gravity flow from the first floor would be possible with only the ejector being used to serve the basement floor. If there are any other questions, please contact me. Sincerely, PERCOR, INC. Mark S.
