A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING
FRENCH CREEK PRESERVE AS PARK LAND
WHEREAS, as part of the city facilities project, the property known as the sewer
plant property was to be sold, and the proceeds used as funding for the city facilities project,
and '
WHEREAS, the Park Commission requested a portion of the property be retained
as park land, and -
WHEREAS, the City determined that approximately four acres of the property
would be sold for residential development and the remainder would be retained as an outlot for
driveway and park purposes, and �
• WHEREAS, the four acre residential site was created through a subdivision
known as French Lake of Orono, and
WHEREAS, the park land retained by the City has been named French Creek
Preserve, and .
WHEREAS, the City of Orono now wishes to formally designate the portion of
Outlot A of the French Lake of Orono subdivision, know as French Lake Preserve, as park land.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does
hereby designate the following described land as park land: �
That part of Outlot A, French Lake of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota lying
North of the following described line:
A line parallel to the North line of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section 9, Township 117 North, Range 23 West, at a distance 745 feet South
of said North line; �

That part of Outlot A, French Lake of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota lying
South of the North 745 feet thereof and East of the following described line:
A line parallel to the East line of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section 9, Township 117 North, Range 23 West, at a distance 110 feet West
of said East line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a transfer in the amount of $90,000 be
made from the Park Dedication Fund to the Building Fund to reflect the value of the park land.
Adopted by the Orono City Council on this llth day of April, 1994.
