You are scheduled for the March 18, 2024 Planning Commission meeting. This meeting will begin at 6pm at City Hall and you or another representative should plan to attend. I will send out a copy of the agenda and packet the Friday prior to the meeting. Staff has a few comments/question regarding the proposal that should be addressed prior to attending the Planning Commission: 1. Please provide photos of the existing garage and site. Staff may also visit the site next week to document the existing structure. 2. Please consider making some modifications in order to gain the support of staff. Staff is supportive of the front and side yard setbacks for the existing garage structure. However, the second story addition above the garage expands this nonconformity. The current proposal has a roofed structure (building and porch) over the entirety of the garage. The eaves extend to the property line. Bringing the second story addition further away from the property lines and thus reducing the size could gain the support of staff. I would be happy to discuss this matter in greater detail. Please provide additional or revised documentation by Friday, March 8th in order to be included in the Planning Commission packet. Please reach out if you have any questions.
