Strickland 780 Old Crystal Bay Road South Long Lake, Minnesota 55356 Re: Septic System - 2765 Fox Street Building Debris - 700 Old Crystal Bay Road South Dear Mr. & Mrs. Strickland: On May 3, 1984, I met with Ms. Dundurs at 2765 Fox Street at her request to look at the septic system. It was discharging to the surface and, obviously, needed work. I noted that when Al Bragelman of E. J. Peterson Company had located and pumped the tank a year or so ago, he was unable to locate a second tank after extensive excavation, nor did he locate the drainfield. The drainfield may have been merely a tile system with no rock. At any rate, it 4s not working now and needs major repairs or replacement. Having seen the existing tank when it was open, I would recommend you abandon it and replace with two 1,000 gallon precast septic tanks. Soil testing will need to be done in order to design the drainfield. I have enclosed information to help you in completing the repairs. I also noted to Ms. Dundurs we'd had a complaint about the trash and debris near the foundation at 700 Old Crystal Bay Road. I see that you have removed the plastic leaf bads and thank you for your prompt attention. However, during my inspection of this site, it was obvious that other debris and junk remained on the site, as well as the remains of the building which was demolished in 1982. This is certainly an eyesore during seasons when the leaves are gone and is a hazardous situation. I must require that you remove the junk and building remains and generally cleanup the site by June 15, 1984. Pertinent code sections are attached. Please contact me if you have questions or if I can be of further help. Sincerelr, Michael P.
