REQUEST FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
SUBJECT: Zoning Application #LA20-000002
The City of Orono is required to notify you within fifteen (15) business days as to the status of your
application for after the fact variances for property located at 2665 Casco Point Road. Below is a list of
items the City of Orono is requesting to complete our review.
1. Current Site information. The survey and hardcover calculations uploaded appear not to reflect the
deck placed near the boathouse. If the deck has been removed please provide clarifying
information.
a. Submit Updated As-Built Certificate of Survey reflecting the current site conditions and
hardcover on site.
b. Submit Updated As-Built Hardcover Calculations. All proposed hardcover shall be
calculated on the hardcover worksheets that are enclosed. The hardcover calculations must
be completed by your surveyor. Note, for properties with hardcover in the 75-foot lake
setback, the hardcover within the 75-foot setback must be identified as such for the
calculations – see the instructional note on the top of the hardcover calculation sheet.
2. After the Fact application fee (double fee) $275. The current application is for consideration of
after-the-fact variances. The after-the-fact double fee applies. Please submit $275 either online or
in our office.
3. Practical Difficulty Criteria. The provided practical difficulty criteria will be used to justify your
request. Based on the information provided, staff cannot support the variances. If you wish to
change or supplement your existing submittal please do so in the online application.
Application #LA20-000002 is incomplete. If you wish to proceed with your application please submit the
items requested above by January 22nd in order to remain on the February 18th Planning Commission
