Mr. Haack,
As you are aware, while performing an inspection to verify the as-built survey and to close out the above
reference permit, it was noted changes were made to the existing boat house. The changes made were
not approved as part of an issued permit. The changes created expansions to the structure within the 75-
foot & average lakeshore setbacks and added hardcover which was not accounted for on the as-built
hardcover calculations.
In November of 2019 you communicated with Melanie Curtis regarding the addition and on
November 22, 2019 you were going to review and consider the next steps. Please provide us with an
update as to how you are going to proceed. Please note the next deadline for land use application
submittal for an after-the-fact variance is Noon on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
