Title: Meeting Process Refresher
1.Purpose:
To provide a brief review of meeting procedures to support an efficient, orderly, and consistent
meeting process.
2.Summary:
Brief refresher on basic meeting procedures and parliamentary process to support clear discussion,
participation, and decision-making. The review will cover the roles of the chair, minute taker, and
video recorder; procedures for opening a meeting; introducing agenda items; making and
seconding motions; discussion; voting procedures; stating the vote; moving to the next item; and
adjourning the meeting. A handout and additional resources will be provided, and questions will
be addressed.
