HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-10-14 Memo, Septic Tank Move for ConstructionTO: Thomas Jacobs, Building Inspector
Jeanne Mabusth, Zoning Administrator
FROM: Michael Gaffron, On -Site Systems Manager
DATE: October 14, 1980
SUBJECT: Addition - 2620 Fox Street, buehrer
I reviewed and inspected this existing system today. By probing
and direct measurement, I found that the first septic tank is
approximately 1110" from the existing house. The Buehrers propose
a 12' extension to the west of existing house. Since the footings
for the two story addition would fall directly over the tank cover,
it will be necessary to remove the tank and replace it with a new
precast 1,000 gallon tank (to meet code for first tank to one side
(see sketch).
The applicant should be warned that the existing drainfield and
second tank will be in close proximity to the construction and must
not be disturbed i.e. no driving over it, piling fill, caterpillars,
etc. Also, septic contractor should repair cKiGting second tank
as necessary and add stacks to it.
