TYPE OF REQUEST: Variances
DATE OF MEETING: 21 September 2015
The Orono Planning Commission on a motion to recommend approval the application as modified to
allow a 6’ encroachment into the average lakeshore setback; 28.5’ setback from the street lot line;
and lot area and lot width variances with the following conditions:
1. The two parcels should be legally combined prior to the issuance of a building permit for the
proposed home.
2. All proposed patio areas should be clarified prior to City Council review and, if elevated,
should be located behind the average lakeshore setback line so as not to result in a further
setback encroachment.
VOTE: 3 FOR 3 AGAINST
Applicant’s next meeting is scheduled as: Monday, October 12, 2015
This is a City Council meeting. The meeting begins at 7 PM
