A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION
FOR AN I/I REDUCTION LOAN OR GRANT TO THE �
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES. (MCES) �
WHEREAS, the city of Orono currently experiences substantial infiltration and
'inflow (I/I) into its sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, Orono has initiated, in recent years, a comprehensive program to .
reduce I/I, and
WHEREAS, the MCES is offering a program of loans and grants for I/I
reduction efforts. ,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does
�� � hereby authorize the submittal of an I/I reduction loan or grant application to MCES and also
does hereby authorize John Gerhardson and Ronald Moorse to serve as subject matter contacts
related to the grant. -
Adopted by the City Council this 28th day of May, 1996.
