Standard System. 2. Proposed Flow Rate. 4 bedrooms Cr- 150 G.P.D. is 60C. G.F.D. 3. Soil Treatment Area Required. 1.67 percolation factor x 600 G.Y.D. is 1000 so. ft. min. 4..Size .-.d Number of Trenches. Three trenches with a total length of 333 f t. x 3 feet wide is 1000 sq. f t. These trenches should be spaced a minimum of 7.5 f t. center to center, and should be 2-3 feet deep in the natural soil. 5. Drainfield Rock Required. 55.6 cu. yds. of rock is needed to have 12 inches under and 2 inches over a 4 inch distribution pipe. 6. Septic Tanks. 2 septic tanks each c at least 1000 gallon capacity are required. In addition, if the house is kept at the proposrd elevation, it will be necessary to have a third pumping tank and pump in order to reach the higher drainfield Brea. Distribution to the trenches should he by the use of drop boxes Sincerely, PERCCR, INC. Mark S. Gronberg. P.E. r r SITE EVALUATION REPORT i FOR THE EDGAR HERTZ PROPERTY _.- 1820 FOX STREET, ORONO 5-31-80 On May 17, 1980 Rix percolation holes were tested and s three soil borings taken. The percolation holes were dug 6 inches in diameter to a 42 inch depth. The soil borings were dug 6 inches in diameter to the 4 foot depth and 3 inches in diameter to the remaining depth by hand augers. The average percolation rate for the tour holes in the primary drainfield site was 21.5 minutes per inch. This rate, along with the lack of a high water table woula enable this site to meet the requirements for a standard drainfield. There ie a topographical problem which will require the trenches to be constructed In a v-shape in order to remain relatively level for the entire length of the trench. The alternate site also meets the requirements for a stan- dard drainfield system. However, this area is higher than the probable building site 3o a T;uT^ .would rro3t likely nrcc to b used in this situation. More information concerning the design of the system will • be needed once the size and location of the house are known. If there are any questions or additional informatioA!.needed, plea:-e contact me.
