SUBJECT: Site Evaluation - #557 Edgar T. Mertz, 1820 Fox Street
SUBDIVISION
The soils and site evaluation report for the proposed new lot has been
submitted and reviewed. My boring on the site confirmed the boring
logs submitted. While slight mottling was found at a depth of 4h feet,
indicating some seasonal saturation, it would appear that a shallow
standard drainfield system can be installed on the site with room for
an alternate system to the south of the lot.
I also reviewed the existing septic system for the Mertz residence and
it appears to be functioning correctly. There is ample area on the lot
for future drainfield should reconstruction ever be necessary.
Based on this information, I recommend approval of the subdivision as
proposed.
