• ' • � DECLARING 'COST TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING PREPARATION
OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSE'D ASSESSMENT FOR
NAVARRE — STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 82-2
WHEREAS , pursuant to Resolutions #1409 , 1414 and 1425, a
contract has been let and construction undertaken for the following
improvements:
1 . Upgrading and wideningof BlaineAvenue between Crystal
Place and Shoreline Drive, including extension of Lyric
Avenue west from Blaine Avenue to the eastern line of the
plat of Navarro, and the construction of curbs and turn
lanes on Shoreline Drive between Lot 19, Block 7, Navarre
H�ights on the east and Lot 10, Block 3, Navarro on the west , '
which improvements benefit properties identified in PartC
of Resolution �1396.
. 2. Construction of streets , curbs and gutters within and
benefitting the Schlee Bui.lder ' s Inc . subdivision
identified in Part B of Resolution No . 1396, now platted as
Lots 1 throuqh 10 inclusive, Block 1 ; Lots 1 through 4
inclusive, Block 2; and Lots 1 through 10 inclusive, Block
3, Navarro, Hennepin County, Minnesota .

� WHEREAS , the contract price of such improvements and the
expenses incurred or to be incurred in the makinq of such improvements
amount to the total cost of the improvement of $ 136 , 941, 83 ; and of
this cost the City will pay $ 15,265.40 as its share; and �
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Orono , Minnesota :
l . The cost of such 82-2 Improvements to be specially
assessed is hereby declared to be $ _ 121, 676 .43 �
2. The City Administrator , with the assistanceof the City
Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be
_ specially assessed for such improvements aqainst every
assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district
affected , without regard to cash valuation, as provided by
. law and 'he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in
his office for public inspection.

3. A hearing shall be held on the 2hth day of September ,
1983, in the Orono Council Chambers, 1275 South Brown Road ,
at 7 :3fd P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at
such time and place all persons owning property affected by
.. the improvements will be given an opportunity to be heard
with reference to such assessment.
4 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice o.f
- the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once
in the Minnetonka Sun newspaper at least two weeks pr ior to
the hearing , which notice shall include the total cost of
the improvement. The City Clerk shall also cause mailed
notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in
the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior _ to the �
public hearing .

�1HEREAS, pursuant -to Resolution No. 1395 adopted on this
date, the City Council has accepted a feasibilit�• Report regarding • �
proposed u�ility and street improvements in the Navarre area of Orono .
. NOia, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City �of Orono that a public hearitig shall be held on such proposed
improvements on .�Monday, August 23, 1982, at 7 : 00 PM in the Orono Council
�h�mbers at�- 12�5 Brown Road South, �and that the Clerk � shall give mailed
and published notice of such hearing and proposed improvements as
required by law. Notice of the hearing� shall be divided into four
parts with property owners receiving notice of only that part or parts
for which their property is proposed to be assessed, as follows :

' of the proposed sanitary sewer trunk line shall be

1) Property owners proposed to be assessed for .

property is generally indicated as being within

all property abutting Blaine Avenue between Shoreline
