May 24, 1976 The Orono Council met on the above date with the following members present: mayor Searles, Councilmembers Butler, Massengale, and welsh. Councilmember Paurus absent. Also present: City Administrator Beason, Building & Zoning Administrator Muhich, and City Attorney rfalkerson. Butler moved, Searles seconded, that the Minutes MINUTES of the Regular Meeting of stay 10, 1976, be approved as amended. t-sotion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). Butler moved, Massengale seconded, that the lot VARIANCE width and area variance for Lester Raskob, 4220 4220 Chippewa Lane Chippewa Lane, be referred to the Planning Commission. Representatives for the Super Valu Stores stated that there would not be any excess fill. Upon learning this, Mr. Edwards withdrew his request. Mr. Muhich returned tor. Henry Jluhich, Building i Zoning Administrator, stated that W. J. Sime, Jr., 4051 ighwood Road, has obtained about 90 yards of fill from his neighbor's construction project and deposited it in t*,a low area of his property along Highwood Road. a is requesting approval of a conditional use permit to partially fill and grade this low area. Several problems could result from this project unless the following conditions are met: 1. Remove excessive fill from around existing trees to prevent destroying them. 2. Protect graded banks against erosion. 3.
