. A RESOLUTION ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR �
BAY RIDGE/HARTWOOD
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS,the City of Orono is a municipal corporation existing under the laws
of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared a feasibility study to determine the
feasibility of serving the Bay Ridge/Hartwood neighborhood with sanitary sewer; and
WHEREAS,on February 10, 1997 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 3843
receiving the feasibility report and calling for a public hearing for the Bay Ridge sanitary sewer
improvement; and
. WHEREAS, the Hartwood neighborhood was subsequently added to the defined
• sewer improvement area for possible assessment purposes because construction of the sewer trunk
serving Bay Ridge will provide a future trunk service to the Hartwood neighborhood at such future
unspecified time that sewer laterals are provided to Hartwood.
. WHEREAS,ten days mailed notice to the residents of the Bay Ridge and Hariwood
neighborhoods and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held
thereon on the l Oth day of March, 1997, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon; and
� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does
hereby direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for the installation of sanitary
� sewer for the Bay Ridge and Hartwood neighborhoods as proposed in the Feasibility Report.
Adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on March 10, 1997 by a vote
of � 5 ayes and�_nays.
