A RESOLUTION RESTRICTING THE USE OF
LARE ACCESS ON NORTH ARM Bd3Y AT PARK LANE
WHEREAS , the City of Orono has legal title to property which
presently provides lake access for vehicles and boats on North Arm Bay .
on Park, Lane and ,
WHEREAS, the use of_ the access during the months of December
1 through March 3lresults in the creation of a traffic hazard for those
usinq Park Lane and for the citizens in the neighborhood and ,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Hennepin County
access adjacent to the Hendrickson bridge at the south end of North Arm
Bay is a safe and adequate access ,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
�a; 1 . The use by vehicles of the above access shall be
: restricted during the time period of December 1 to March 31
� each year until further notice.
2. The staff is directed to mark the boundaries of the
access , to post the necessary signs to notify the public of �
these restrictions, and to close the access to vehicles
durinq the period of December 1 to March 3:1 each year .
3 . By law the City. is not abandoning its interest in the
access by this action and the City reserves the right to
change the restrictions on the use of this access at any time
in the future .
Adopted by the Orono City Council at a regular meeting on August 8 ,
1g83, by a vote of 3 ayes and 'p nays . . .
