A RESOLUTION OF APPOINTMENT
TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Gabriel Jabbour was elected to the position of Mayor on November 5,
1996, and �
WH�REAS,Gabriel Jabbour resigned as Councilmember effective January 2, 1997,
to become Mayor, and .
WHEREAS,the City Council adopted Resolution Number 3832 Declaring a Council
Vacancy on January 13, 1997.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of
Orono,Minnesota, appoints R.ichard N. Flint to fill the unexpired term of
Gabriel Jabbour.
� THEREFORE, BE IT ADDITIONALLY RESOLVED, ± that
xichard N. Flint must run for election at the November 3, 1998 election and win
in order to be a Councilmember beyond December 31, 1998.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held
�January 27, 1997. �
