3�VIi��AS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of sanitary
sewer improvements in the Bracketts Point and Bay Ridge improvement areas, bids were received,
opened and tabulated according to law; and .
V6�I��AS, it appears that Barbarossa & Sons, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota is
the lowest responsible bidder.
N�W, T��FO�tE, �E IT RESOI,�D by the City Council of Orono,
Minnesota:
• � � 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
construction contract with Barbarossa & Sons, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota, in
the name of the Ciry of Orono for the installation of sanitary sewer improvements
in the�racketts Point and Bay Ridge areas according to the plans and specifications
therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk
in the amount of$523,740.00.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwitli to all bidders
the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder
and the next lowesr bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
' 3. T�is resolution to award the construction contract for these improvements is
contingent on receipt of Petitions for Local Improvements froni all of the project
area residents. Upon receipt of all the Petitions, this contract will be executed.
� Adopted by the Orono City Council at a regular Council meeting held on June 23,
1997.
