HomeMy WebLinkAboutREQUEST FOR FURTHER INFORMATION 7/26/2018 Kevin Nitzberg 1212 Briar St Orono, MN 55391 REQUEST FOR FURTHER INFORMATION SUBJECT: Zoning Application #LA18-000067 The City of Orono is required to notify you within fifteen (15) business days as to the status of your application for variances for property located at 1212 Briar St. Below is a list of items the City of Orono is requesting to complete our review: 1) Construction Plans. Please provide the following information regarding the proposed detached garage. a) Roof Peak Height b) Roof Slope c) Roof overhang dimensions 2) House Peak Height. We need to verify the proposed garage will not be taller than the house. Please provide the height of the home from grade to the roof peak. 3) Project Narrative. Please provide an email or letter describing your project, the general placement of the structure and why your project should receive the variances. **This information is very important for understanding your variance request and will clarify your building permit review. Since you are asking to build in a nonconforming location, whatever is approved by the City Council with your variance request is all that will be permitted. Any changes to the plans after the council have given their approval will create challenges with getting a building permit. The more details you provide us regarding your proposed structure the smoother the permitting process will be. If you have any construction plans or addition details you can provide that will help.
